Phuket

Stuff we have seen and done:

• Elephants are always popular here. Riding, bathing and visiting sanctuaries. There are a number of tours available.

• Tiger Kingdom – it is kind of like a zoo, but the tigers are beautiful.

• Fantasea – a cultural theme park/show and dinner. It  demonstrates true authentic thai culture from the decor all the way to the beautiful show at the end.

• Carnival Magic – similar to the above. I found there to be too many lights for my sensitive eyes, but it is spectacular.
• Phi Phi Island excursion – amazing. Snorkelling and boating for the day. Just amazing.

• The Big Buddha – another beautiful temple but also I must mention the Macaques. Do not feed the monkeys, at all.
• Monkey Hill Viewpoint
• Massage and then another massage – they are so good and so relaxing and so available in many places. Just be careful at night what is being offered. NB: if there is old ladies outside, your good. If there is pretty and young ladies, keep walking.

Beaches:

• Banana Beach

Places we stayed:

• Marriot – this was a good stay and had a free transfer to town everyday. Food is available in this hotel with a number of restaurants and it is right on the beach front. Washing is done for a price at the beach area and massages too, which is cheaper than the hotel.
