About Us
We love to travel! Just love it! But we have a regular life so sometimes our exploration is in our own backyard (aka suburb, city, country). We have discovered as we have gone off the beaten path, locations we never expected that aren't found in any travel blog. That is why we have this blog, to share country by country something old and something new.
Our Story
I love History, old things, travelling, finding new ways of experiencing different places, and the sounds and smells that fill the air as you go about exploring countries. Each country is so unique whether it’s the islands of New Caledonia or the Mediterranean shores. There will never be enough life time to explore all there is out there to discover. But in our travels, we have discovered what I call – something old, and something new. The something old, is all the obvious places that one would visit, but the something new, are all the hidden gems we have discovered, whether in camping, driving, navigating, or general extensive exploration, we are not afraid to go where others may not. The hubby and I usually are a tag team, and he is always willing to go down that narrow road, explore that dark, rugged path, enter when there is a no entry signposted and haggle to get a better deal. This is the miracle of travel, we find out more about ourselves. As we try and be a little daring, and are willing, to go off the beaten path.
