Isan Region – Nong Khai

Stuff we have seen and done:

Isan Region:

• Din Pieng Cave – a 200 metre cave. this is a place of worship as well as a place to come exploring. You can only go in with a guide, but tips are essential for the free guide. WARNING: It is narrow in some places and crawling is required for a little bit, but an adventure.

• 3 Whale Rock – 3 Long Rocks that look like a mumma, daddy and baby whale. You get to walk out on the mumma and daddy but not the baby, it’s a bit too narrow but there are options for drone photos.

• Mekong River Ride – it is now illegal to land in Laos but as your cruising down the river on the longtail boat, you can see both Thailand and Laos on the other side. You see the fisherman of Laos catching their fish and giving a wave, it is pretty cool.
