Causeway Bay

Stuff we have seen and done: We pretty much just caught the train everyday somewhere different and walked and explored. It was fun doing that.

  • Catch the trams and view the city from the top to get your bearings. We did to become familiar with where we were staying.
  • Eat everything. Try many restaurants because the food is pretty good and there’s western options to for the picky one.
  • Sky 100 – for a view of Hong Kong Island.

  • Markets – absolutely do it. I love their markets. Traditonal chinese wares. Amazing!
  • Causeway Bay has amazing shopping so definitely we enjoyed staying here. It’s right near the trains, trams so easy walk and distance to get anywhere.
  • The Peak – highest point on Hong Kong Island and the tram takes you all the way up so enjoy this one of a kind experience to the top, and enjoy the view – At least that’s what I read and heard :) we tried to get to the top, but it was shut for repairs. Sad stuff.
  • Kowloon – take the train and enjoy the shopping.
  • Space Museum
  • Walk the streets and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Asia.

First thing to do:

  • buy an Octopus Card because it allows you to pay not for the public transport but food places as well, it’s genius. Just put money on it and go. Refills at 711’s and Price Marts etc – just make sure you have cash.
  • Hong Kong trains are always available and there’s plenty of them for connections. It is simple to follow and google pretty much tells you which exits and entry points so together they are a match made in heaven.

Places we stayed:

  • Hostel – because it was much cheaper, relatively speaking. Hong Kong is expensive.

It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.
