Thermopylae:

• Battle of Thermopylae: History Bite: The battle of Thermopylae between the Greek city-states & the Persian Empire is super famous from movies. Fought in 480 BC at a narrow pass, these spartan hoplites held off a mighty empire for about 3 days until they were betrayed by a Greek for Persian gold. A large statue of Leonidas sits across the area of the famous battle between the Spartans and the Persians.

• Thermal Spas – in this same area there is also hot springs, thermal springs and you can swim in them and its kinda super cool.
