WWI Sites

Stuff we have seen and done:

  • Mametz Wood Memorial
  • Ring of Remembrance
  • Flanders Fields Museum

  • Thiepval Monument – a beautiful monument  to the fallen of the Somme

  • Bapaume: History Bite: The Second Battle of Bapaume was a battle of the First World War that took place at Bapaume in France, from 21 August 1918 to 3 September 1918
  • Vimy Memorial

  • There are memorials all over France and plaques to the many countries who together fought during WWI. It is so special and beautiful to make a day visiting many of these places.

  • NB: I am a Kiwi (New Zealander) so we went to see a lot of plaques dedicated to our particular country, but there are so many and all are special.

It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.
